About CalcYourReno

CalcYourReno is a small, free set of calculators for homeowners planning DIY projects: flooring, paint, tile, concrete, mulch, drywall, wallpaper, decks, grout and square footage.

The idea behind the name is the old workshop rule: measure twice, cut once. Our version for buying material is measure twice, buy once - get the list right the first time and the project keeps moving. That is also why the site includes a Project Planner that combines rooms and jobs into a single shopping list.

Every calculator shows its formula, a worked example and its assumptions, runs entirely in your browser, and works in imperial or metric units. Results are planning estimates to help you buy sensibly - they are not professional quotes, engineering advice or a substitute for the instructions on the products you buy.
