Project Planner - One List for the Whole Job

Most calculators make you redo the same room measurements for every job. Here you enter each room once, tick what is happening in it, and get one combined shopping list: flooring boxes, paint, and a single total cost. Print it and take it to the store.

Your combined shopping list

How it works

Worked example

Two rooms: a 12 ft x 10 ft living room getting flooring and paint, and a 10 ft x 9 ft bedroom getting flooring only. Combined flooring area is 210 sq ft; with 10% waste that is 231 sq ft, which at 20 sq ft a box is 12 boxes (about $660 at $55). Paint for the living room walls and ceiling comes to about 3 gallons for two coats (about $135). One trip, one list, about $795 of material.

Assumptions to know

Results are planning estimates only. Check coverage on the actual products you buy and measure carefully before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

How is the project planner different from the single calculators?

Single calculators answer one job. The planner lets you enter each room once, choose the jobs happening in that room, and combines everything into one shopping list with one total cost, so you make one store trip instead of five.

How are flooring boxes calculated in the planner?

Flooring area from every room with flooring ticked is added together first, then waste is applied and the total is rounded up to whole boxes. Combining rooms usually saves a box or two compared with rounding up room by room.

Can I print the shopping list?

Yes. Use the Print the shopping list button. The printout shows only the list, totals and costs - not the calculator inputs.

Do I need an account to save my project?

No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. If you leave the page, just re-enter your rooms - it only takes a minute.
